287g Steering Committee Notice
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office 287(g) Program, in conjunction with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), will conduct their 2023 steering committee meeting on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
The 287(g) program allows state and local law enforcement to enter into a partnership with ICE in order to receive delegated authority for warrant service officers within their jurisdiction.
The meeting will be conducted virtually and is open to the public. Those wishing to attend, should contact 287(g) Program Manager, Chezdent Thompson, at chezdent.thompson@ice.dhs.gov, no later than March 13th, 2023. Please include “Oconee County 2023 Steering Committee” in the subject line of your email. Please provide the email address the invitation should be sent to and any questions that you would like to have answered at the Steering Committee Meeting.
The meeting will start at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
