Mission
Our mission is to prepare for and assist in the protection of lives and property in the event of natural or manmade disasters through the process of preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.
We work closely with the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (as well as dozens of others, both public and private) before, during and after emergencies and disasters.
We maintain the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), which is the nerve center of all operations during a disaster or major emergency.
