Department Policies

Payments

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express payments. Beginning April 1, 2019 we will accept eChecks (electronic bank check). Cash not accepted. Payee will be responsible for paying debit/credit/eCheck convenience fees.

Out of County Policy

Out of County residents will pay 200% of the program fee.

Refunds

No refunds or credits will be granted unless requested by program registration deadline. If request is made by program registration deadline, you will have two options: (1) Receive an immediate credit for the full amount valid for 12 months or (2) Receive a refund, minus a 25% administration fee. Out of County fees will be returned with refund; registration convenience fees are non-refundable.

Weather Cancellations and Closures 

Facility closures and program cancellations may occur due to weather and field conditions. These conditions will be assessed throughout the day in an effort to make a decision by 4 p.m. Facility closures and program cancellations are posted to our social media outlets, website, and weather hotline: 706-769-3965, option 2. 

NAYS Parent Orientation and Membership (NAYS)

In order for a child to participate in any competitive youth activity, at least one parent must be a current member of the NAYS Parents Orientation and Membership (formerly PAYS). To fulfill this requirement follow the steps below:

1. Go to http://www.nays.org/parents

2. Select blue "Sign Up!" button

3. Completing the PAYS program: click "Get Started"

4. Contact Information: Complete contact info, then click "Next"

5. Program Affiliation requirement: Click "Yes"

6. Navy affiliated sports program: Click "No"

7. League/Agency: select "Oconee County Pks & Rec Dept" and then click "Next"

8. Payment Information: NO PAYMENT OR DONATION REQUIRED, simply click "Confirm"

9. Confirmation: Click "Process"

10. Thank You for Registering page appears, click “Next” 

11. Click “Start NAYS Parent Course” 

12. Click on video to begin course

13. Answer required course questions to complete 

Code of Conduct

The following Code of Conduct applies to all Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department program participants, users of park facilities and park patrons. All individuals and organizations will be held to the Code of Conduct when using facilities administered by the department. Please view the Code of Conduct.
