The Oconee County Communications Office works to disseminate information about the policies, programs, and initiatives of Oconee County Government to residents, media, and other stakeholders and to increase citizen engagement.

CodeRED is Oconee County’s mass notification system. Signing up for CodeRED will allow you to receive instant thunderstorm, tornado, and flood warnings as soon as they are issued by the National Weather Service via text and phone calls, as well as emergency notifications from Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, and other divisions of Oconee County government.
