Oconee County Animal Services Celebrates Completion of Building Renovation & Expansion

Animal Services Building Leash Unclipping Ceremony

Oconee County Animal Services Manager Crystal Berisko and EMA Director C.J. Worden un-clipped a pair of leashes to officially open the doors to the newly renovated and expanded Animal Services Building on Wednesday, May 26.

The recently completed project includes renovation of the building, expansion of the front lobby, and the addition of a multi-purpose room and office space. A new dog quarantine kennel, new cat quarantine kennel, and lab were also added.

“We are proud to help bring the goals of Oconee County to life by providing an Animal Services facility that is safe, practical, and inviting for animals, staff, and visitors,” said Berisko. “The recent completion of the renovation and expansion project will allow us to care for the animals and to expand our programs in ways that will support the community for years to come.
