July 6 BOC Meeting Highlights

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners held a Millage Rate Public Hearing followed by its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. The following actions were taken at the BOC regular meeting:

  • Announcements: 
    • Senior Center Groundbreaking will be held on Tuesday, July 27, at 10 a.m.
    • Planning Commission and Recreation Advisory Committee have open positions; deadline for applications is Tuesday, August 10, at noon
  • Approved Special Use #P21-­0075 for ±0.70 acres located at 1210 Fernwood Drive, zoned Residential, for a bakery home business
  • Approved Variance #P21-­0089 for ±1.17 acres located at 1171 Hollow Creek Lane, zoned Residential, to reduce the side setback for an accessory building greater than 144 square feet
  • Approved FY21 Merit Adjustment 
  • Approved an Agreement for Court Collection Services between i3 Verticals and Oconee County Probate Court
  • Approved the FY22 Family Connection Contract for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022
  • Approved the FY22 Public Defender Indigent Defense Services Agreement for period of July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022
  • Approved the annual renewal of the Georgia Department of Transportation Local Administered Project (LAP) Certification and Title VI Non­-Discrimination Agreement
  • Approved the annual renewal of the FY22 Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) Interlocal Risk Management Agency (IRMA) Property and Liability Insurance Renewal
  • Approved Alcohol License Application for The Cracker Barrel, 1913 Epps Bridge Parkway, Athens, with James Barber as the Registered Agent
  • Approved directing the County Attorney to vote in favor of proposed Purdue Pharma L.P. bankruptcy plan
